About me

Hi, I'm Carly, the owner of Neighborhood Therapy! I began my speech therapy career as an undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences & Disorders. I continued my education at Jacksonville University, earning my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology.

My Approach

Neighborhood Therapy is a growing speech therapy practice owned and operated by Carly Traversa, MS, CCC-SLP. Carly is a nationally certified and state-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who is dedicated to providing individualized, client-centered therapy. She believes in incorporating each client’s unique interests into sessions—whether that’s play-based activities like bubbles and Play-Doh or functional tasks like planning meals and organizing a monthly budget. Anything a client is passionate about can become meaningful, motivating therapy.

Carly was instrumental to my son's speech development. She is caring, accessible, patient, and knowledgeable. She worked with my 18 month old son who had a speech delay. Through their time together, my son learned how to express himself and find delight in communication. I always knew my son was in safe hands when he was with Carly. As a parent, I really appreciated her collaborative nature. She will be an asset to the development of any child.
